Here's my skiing and separating my shoulder story.

My family is from Florida. I've never skied or put on ice skates and winter is mostly dumb. I've been sledding before and I was pretty good.

A bunch of friends, including a girl I've always loved, were going to northern Michigan to ski last weekend so I decided to go. We rented some giant, disgusting house. The bed I was supposed to sleep in was so concave that I had to sleep on the floor.

I spent my entire night on Friday in the hot tub fawning over the girl I loved and talking about how good I was going to be skiing on Saturday. The only reason I used the word Fawning is because, by the end of the night, all my friends were calling me Fawnboy. More specifically, calling me Fawnboy in front of the girl I loved.

At least three people threw up either Friday night or Saturday morning. Boys are dumb. I didn't throw up but I made fun of everyone who did. After spending about nine hours renting skis and getting lift tickets we headed up the chairlift. I went on the exact same hills that my friends, who have skied for years and years, went on. They told me it was no big deal and they were mostly nice and actually tried to really teach me to ski.

Whenever the girl I loved was watching me I was beyond reckless and pretended to have the best time of my life. When she wasn't looking I was complaining about everything.

The best part of the day was for sure lunch and talking about getting some beers when we were done. That never happened. At least not right after we finished skiing. At about 2:30 I was ready to do my best skiing ever when I got my poles tied up with one of my friend's poles coming off the chair lift. I had the worst looking fall in the history of all falls and battered my shoulder.

The girl I love was watching so I refused to get the ski patrol people to help me and I made my way down the hill and ended up at some clinic with one of my friends and TGIL (The Girl I Love). I have some sort of level three separation and ended up in a sling and got a ton of attention. In fact, if I had to do it again I for sure would take the injury.

TGIL definitely liked me.

Hanging out at the house Saturday night may have been the best night of my life. I was in the hot tub with TGIL and then we went snowshoeing all by our lonesome and ended up french kissing while clumsily banging our snowshoes and falling in the snow and being like full on lovers. It was great.

The next morning TGIL told me she had a boyfriend. I feel bad for the boyfriend but not to the point that I wasn't going to write all of this. Wait, and I promise this is an unedited stream of consciousness... there is no chance she has a boyfriend. She was for sure lying. This is trouble. I'm calling my people. More to come.

As far as whats going on in my life, nothing. Lexi left for Portugal on Wednesday and is incomunicado as of Saturday to Saturday. Work is good and i am having a hard time being motivated now that i am back on Alert. Thats all you get for now.
